  • Built in 1906, Senara stands in the heart of the beautiful Penwith Peninsular within a short distance of the south coast and a number of picturesque coves including Porthcurno and Lamorna. This former farmhouse (previously Bunkers Hill Farm) has recently been extensively renovated and refurbished to provide light and spacious accommodation in very peaceful, picturesque surroundings.

Senara has two spacious double bedrooms with far-reaching views. The first, having a king-size bed, overlooks Chapel Carn Brae while the other, with a standard double bed, offers distant sea views. Both rooms have en-suite shower rooms with wc and are equipped with colour televisions, hairdryers and tea/coffee making facilities.

Also available for guests is a separate comfortable lounge for those times when a different space is needed. This room also has a colour television. Outside, for those summer days and balmy evenings, there is a pleasant seating area.

There is ample, private parking by the house which is set well off the road.

Designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Penwith Peninsular remains largely unspoilt with a stunning landscape of rugged cliffs, steeply wooded valleys, small rocky fishing coves and truly wonderful sandy beaches. For the more active, the world renowned rugged Penwith coastline provides stunning scenic walks, and opportunities for surfing. This area of West Cornwall is renowned for its rich cultural heritage and has a large number of local attractions. For the artists among us, the lighting and spectacular scenery provide on-going inspiration and there are many local artists whose work can be found in galleries throughout the Penwith Peninsular. A large part of the heritage of this part of Cornwall is, of course, the tin-mining and the evidence is all around, especially on the North Coast of the Peninsular.

From Penzance take the A30 westwards towards Land's End. Drive through the village of Drift and ignore the turning to the left towards St. Buryan at Catchall. Continue on the A30 for approximately 2 miles. Just before the village of Crows-an-Wra, take the left turn towards St. Buryan by the old Celtic stone cross. Drive for approximately three quarters of a mile (past Banns Farm and Banns Cottage on the right) to a sharp, right-hand bend. On the left of this bend is a concrete roller indicating Bunkers Hill Farm. Take this turning down the drive and about halfway down take the right hand, concreted, drive marked Senara on the gatepost. Any problems, please call!
